How to send an automatic email from MS Excel if a vaule is true?

I posted this question before but did not get a brief answer for it. I will try to explain the issue. The spreadsheet looks little bit like that: Columns A-G contain various info about customers where column G is called "product sold". Conditional formatting was used to change the cell colour if value in cell G(1,2...etc) is equal to "YES". How can I use VBA and Macros to make the spreadsheet send an e-mail to customer if the product has been sold (if G(1, 2 ...) = YES) ??

I tried to find any tips on web forums but no luck.

If you have any referece (links) I could go to that would be handy too.

Thank you.

Can I set up email from MS Outlook 2003 on a computer w/o the Internet?

I'm writing this from a mobile browser, but a friend is going to give me a computer with MS applications on it, including MS Outlook 2003.

I won't be able to get the internet on the computer for some time. Will I still be able to set up an email account with the Outlook?

What will the address be like, for instance:

Myusername@(what?).(what?).

Not sure if she still has the manual for Outlook; I don't think she does. Any info will be helpful. Thank you!

Yes you can set it all up without internet. You will have to get information such as internet provider but, you go to Tools || Options || Mail Set Up tab and you will get prompted for a wizard if not fill in the information manually.
Reply:Above are good answers. It really not worth setting up until you have the internet access. For now the link may help you learn.

Reply:ooh. i dont think so. ive tried that once but i guess you really need an internet connection.
Reply:you can only use an existing account like say Google Mail or Yahoo mail. however, it has to have POP, SMPT, etc. enabled. Gmail gives it to you for free, yahoo charges a couple dollars a year for it, and hotmail charges a couple of dollars per year for it. but you cannot create an email account with outlook, only interact with an existing one!

What is the ...freaking... email for MS support? I have searched there site for an hour!!?

MS has this link http://support.microsoft.com/select/defa... and on the bottom it says "Contact a support professional by E-mail, Online, or Phone" and gives http://support.microsoft.com/gethelp/def... witch just goes back to http://support.microsoft.com/select/defa... There site is so stupid... I am really good with computers and on this stuff. But MS seems to think customer service is unnecessary.

you have to phone.

my XP cd broke and i wanted a replacement, but i didnt want to phone and pay to be told that i'd have to pay again for a replacement.
Reply:Very few Windows CDs and installations actually come from Microsoft. The majority are what are referred to as OEM, Originally Embedded Machines, this means that the company you bought your computer off, ie Dell, Hi Grade, Compaq etc were given permission to edit the code and the structure of the copy of Windows you received, because of this Microsoft can not keep track of these changes and can not give individual support to OEM clients, it is the responsibility of the company you bought your PC from. Look in the manual or documentation that came with your PC there will be a help and support number there somewhwere or email address.

In the scenario where you purchased the Windows Disk from a store NOT with the computer then you have a microsoft issue disk and have warranty and access to help and support form Microsoft; in this scenario there is a leaflet provided with the installation disk which at the back will contain help and support email and telephone numbers.
Reply:You can email support, but it costs $59. Just find another way to contact them.
Reply:what problems are you having, maybe we can help

MS Outlook undeliverable . I receive the following when sending email to 1 person in particular.?

The odd thing is that that person does in fact get the email. Anyone

else sending to that person also gets the undeliverable message

returned to them while that receiving person still gets the email.\

Notice that the email referred to is "temp"

What should I be looking at to fix this problem?

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

temp on 8/24/2006 4:49 PM

The e-mail address could not be found. Perhaps the recipient moved to a different e-mail organization, or there was a mistake in the address. Check the address and try again.

Lee: You didn't read the question: The recipient DOES receive the email. It's the error message that's plaguing him/her.
Reply:his email address is wrong probably. check your spelling, periods or dashes.

MS Microsoft Access 97 - Email people using a combo box?

I have a table that is 2 columns and stores people's names and their email address. I also have a form with some information to be entered. I want to have a combo box at the bottom of the form where someone can click the box, scroll down to the person they want and select that person. After they select that person I would want a command button that they could click and initiate the email to send only to the person that was selected. Is this possible?
MS Microsoft Access 97 - Email people using a combo box?
In the "on Click" event Property write some simple code:

Docmd.Sendobject...

(go ahead and seach the Access VBA Helpfile for "Sendobject". You can cut %26amp; paste the sample code %26amp; tweak it for your own use.)

Access VBA can refer to Your FORM when using that command string.

So put a Textbox on the form named "EmailBody" and have it string together the info from the form You want to include in the body of the e-mail:

[Field1] %26amp; Chr(10) %26amp; [Field2]

(Chr(10) is a "linefeed" so the data from the next Field will be on next line)

Put a textbox on the form named "EmailAddr" and set it's "DATA" property to = [CombBox].Column(1)

(You may have to play with the syntax using the builder (the "..." on the right hand side of the property field)).

In the code for the Command Button You can now refer to the form for your E-mail Address %26amp; Email Body text:

Forms![MyFormName]![EmailAddr]

Forms![MyFormName]![EmailBody]

If it doesn't like the references set up a temporary textbox and use the builder to get the proper reference syntax, then Cut %26amp; Paste it into the code.
Reply:Yes...This is possible but your going to have to include the Outlook reference in your references for coding. Your also going to need to create the code for the Mapi call. The code is really long and I have an example of this but I cannot paste it here. If you e-mail I could possibly offer it. You could also do a google search for Access e-mail in VBA code to see if you get any hits.

The option is available and can be done.

How do i set up my yahoo email to work on MS office outlook 2003?

You will have to upgrade your Yahoo email account. Back before the bubble burst, you could incorporate your Yahoo email with Outlook, but not any more.

I am not sure what the fee is for this. FYI - If you have a Gmail account, you can use that in Outlook/Outlook Express for free. Google has instructions on their web site.

Good Luck!
