I have MS Word 2003, I rec'd attachment to an email that has squares for characters. How can I format and open?

The email attachment has a different encoding, so you are not able to see it. Save the attachment and try to import it into word. Or rather start word and then open the document through File%26gt;Open with "Files of Types" as "All Files (*.*)". Word will auto-detect the encoding and open the document.

May be its looking for font thats not in your pc? Worth checking it.. or trying different font.
Reply:you might want to try installing the other languages in XP or Vista.
